Administrative Assistant - Full Time - Head Start, Burlington NJ

Center For Family Services is seeking an experienced, organized, and efficient Administrative Assistant for the Head Start program in Burlington County. This individual serves as a major resource to center directors, classroom staff, and volunteers. The Administrative Assistant is a key member of the program's team focusing on greeting individuals, answering and directing telephone calls, and permitting building entry following all security policies and procedures. 

***$500.00 Sign on Bonus ***  The bonus will be paid in two installments.  The signing bonus is taxable, and all regular payroll taxes will be withheld.  In the event you leave the Center for Family Services within 4 months of your date of hire, you will be responsible for reimbursing the Center for Family Services for the entire signing bonus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Administrative Assistant has the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a professional manner. They have strong communication and computer skills and are punctual and reliable. In this position the Administrative Assistant perform normal administrative tasks, including greeting visitors, office supply orders, and keeping records up to date.  The Administrative Assistant ensures accurate date entry into the AWARDS system, assists with billing, as well as other assigned duties. Familiarity with mental health terminology and electronic health records experience is a plus.  The Administrative Assistant has strong interpersonal skills, provides leadership to staff, promotes a sense of agency with co-workers and staff, and communicates in a way that supports the Center for Family Services mission and values.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required, (some college preferred)
  • High customer service standards and customer relations experience
  • Excellent time management, office skills, and organization with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Function as team member interacting with staff from all programs 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; electronic health records experience preferred
  • Must successfully submit to and pass medical, criminal, and other background checks
