Location: Phillipsburg, NJ

Job Type/Status: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Compliant with funding source, contract and or program's Annex A

  • Complete required documentation within established timeframes per Federal, State, County, and agency regulations, policy and procedure

  • Provide competent, direct clinical services for individuals with co-occurring (mental health and substance use) children, adolescents and families through a variety of modalities such as individual, group, and family therapy.

  • Provide comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment appropriate to psychiatric recommendations and members presenting concerns regardless of race, gender, culture, or ethnicity.

  • Develop, review, and maintain treatment plans that includes long term goals, short-term objectives, and interventions

  • Participates in regular clinical supervision in accordance with the guidelines of his/her professional organization; take responsibility with maintaining professional license; obtain advanced license, participate in staff professional development trainings and workshops as mandated/required

  • Utilize interventions based on systemic, behavioral and cognitive modalities and collaboratively develop individual and family service plans and goals which are behaviorally specific with the family

  • Provide crisis intervention as needed

  • Develop a transition plan with individuals/families to assist with termination and ensure linkage to ongoing support

  • Willingness to utilize clinical supervision to promote independent decision-making and enhance system collaboration within a multidisciplinary team 

  • Complete required NJSAMS documentation in a timely basis in accordance with program protocol

  • Complete all documentation in electronic health record on a timely basis as per program protocol

  • Coordinate treatment planning with DCP&P, schools, the Prosecutor's Office, Probation, Parole, IDRC, SAI/BHI and other relevant agencies and services

  • Complete reports to be submitted to DCP&P, the Court, the Prosecutor's Office, Probation, Parole and IDRC on a timely basis

  • Complete evaluations and treatment progress notes in accordance with agency policies.

  • Meet with supervisor and clinical supervisor on a regular basis

  • Stays familiar with community resources including 12-step and other recovery-oriented meetings and refer clients as indicated

  • Become familiar with community resources

  • Become familiar with all agency programs for proper referrals

  • Other duties as assigned. 


REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Master's Degree in related human services field

  • Clinical Licensure as a social worker or licensed professional counselor or possess an equivalent license from an accredited board

  • Knowledge, training and application of evidence-based treatment

  • Knowledge and application in the area of family systems and Trauma Informed Care

  • Minimum one year direct clinical experience, providing psychotherapy within a behavioral health setting
