Location: East Orange, NJ and Virtual 

Job Type/Status: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Embrace and demonstrate the mission, philosophy and values of Center for Family Services
  • Provide bilingual Spanish speaking counseling virtually and in office as needed.
  • Utilize interventions based on trauma informed, systemic, behavioral and cognitive modalities of treatment.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Provide case management services by coordinating services to meet the needs of the individual/family when necessary.
  • Responsible for competing the paperwork (i.e. progress notes, comprehensive assessment, trauma assessment, other clinical paperwork, etc.) within required time frames in electronic health record.
  • Develop a transition plan with individuals/families to assist with termination and ensure linkage to ongoing support.
  • Attend and participate in clinical supervision and team as well as any required meetings as deemed necessary.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in electronic health record in a thorough, timely and professional manner.
  • Complete all necessary billing paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain ethical and legal compliance.
  • Maintain weekly/monthly/annual productivity target.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, criminal justice, special education) and a minimum of one year of experience working with individuals and families.
  • Clinical Licensure as a social worker or license professional counselor or possess an equivalent license from an accredited board.
  • Experience with trauma informed practice.
  • Must be energetic, creative, and able to work as part of a community resource team, and be culturally competent and responsive.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and assessment skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite proficient).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
