Position Summary:

Center For Family Services is seeking a motivated, culturally sensitive and compassionate individual to fill the Periodic Transporter position at the Juntos Program. The primary concern of the Juntos Program is to ensure the health and well-being and daily living needs of program youth are met.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Safely transports program youth at the onset of a youth’s shelter placement and to various appointments, including medical, recreational, educational, and employment appointments.
• Ensuring youth’s comfort and safety during transportation.
• Following established routes and schedules to ensure timely arrival and departure.
• Maintaining accurate records of trips, including mileage, destinations, and any special instructions or requests.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, including regular fueling and cleaning and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
• Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations and practicing defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of residents and other road users.
• Providing excellent customer service, being courteous, respectful, and attentive to their youth’s needs and preferences.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and other stakeholders to coordinate transportation services and address any concerns or issues.
• Serves as a positive role model for program youth and providers, providing supervision and structure that is consistent with the program's stated goals and objectives. 
• Ensure coverage for their breaks; Non-exempt staff qualify for a 30-minute lunch. 
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate and perform with staff in a fast-paced environment. 
• Displays professional demeanor in all interactions with children, adults, families served, colleagues, and community members. 
• Follow Center for Family Services best practices and ongoing training compliance. 
• Coordinates with the CFS Operations Department on facility improvement, ensuring that each site complies with CFS standards of excellence. 
• Ensures that systems are in place for required and enhanced cleanliness, safety, and homelike environments.

Requirements:  

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• One year or more working in a residential setting is preferred. 
• Valid driver's license for at least three years with excellent Driving skills and a clean driving record.  
  • If required to drive a personal vehicle for work purposes, the individual vehicle must be appropriately registered with the state and maintain automobile insurance. 
• Bilingual fluency, Spanish preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, time, and management skills 
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Gmail.
