POSITION SUMMARY:
Center For Family Services is seeking an experienced individual for the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor within its Child Protection Substance Abuse Initiative program. CPSAI's top priority is the safety and well-being of children. By treating the alcohol/drug problems of the caregivers, we help provide a more secure environment for children. The CADC/LCADC is needed to conduct assessments in the DCPP office, assist with case management, coordinate treatment with DCPP staff, and participate in getting clients into the appropriate level of care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducting assessment using the tools we provide in addition to ensuring all client information is reported to DCPP Caseworker. CADC will coordinate and oversee the Counselor Aide(s), acting as a liaison with local treatment providers and filing of all necessary reports. This needs to be done in a timely manner and the timeframe will be discussed during training. You will be required to attend DCPP meetings for your office and your supervisor will develop a schedule with you. This position is for the Cherry Hill location. Computer skills are very important for this job. You will be communicating frequently with DCPP staff in addition to communicating with fellow CFS staff. CADC/CADCI obtains urine drug screens and or swab drug screens from clients. You will be trained on this. Other duties as needed may be added.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC/LCADC) or coursework toward certification/licensure completed for the Intern position
Previous experience in the substance use disorder field
Current driver's license with a good driving record of at least three years
Vehicle with current insurance and registration
