POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of Baby's Best Start ensuring that the mission of the Camden County Covenant for Children, Youth and Families, Standards for Prevention, Principles of Family Support and the Protective Factors are incorporated into all aspects of the program. Responsible for ensuring program curriculum is being effectively completed. Responsible for all reports, employee issues and maintaining relationships with community partners.

Job Type/Status: Part-Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct services and administrative supervision of program staff and clients. 
  • May provide direct service activity as needed.
  • Assures the continuing training and development of program staff.
  • Regularly schedules meetings with program staff to discuss plans, address areas of potential problems and program functioning. 
  • Performs administrative functions including the completion of reports in a timely manner in accordance with funders' requirements.
  • Conducts employee evaluations annually in accordance with Center For Family Services' policies and procedures
  • Treats colleagues and family members as individuals with respect and dignity.
  • Completes documentation and other reporting requirements.
  • Attends all required staff meetings, program and Center For Family Services activities.
  • Reviews progress in professional development and growth objectives periodically with supervisor.
  • Discusses family and staff issues, when necessary, only with designated appropriate staff.
  • Completes lesson plans.
  • Build, establish and maintain community partnerships. 
  • Reports any suspected child/elder abuse and neglect per New Jersey's guidelines.
  • Ensure all program goals and objectives are tracked and met or exceeded.
  • Conducts self as a role model in interactions with staff, colleagues and funding sources in accordance with Center For Family Services' Code of Ethics.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher 
  • At least two years of experience working with program population
  • Experience in building collaborations among individuals and organizations
  • Maintains First A and CPR certifications, as required by funder and licensing agent for specific programs pertinent to this position
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License in the state of his/her residence if job is classified as Occasional or Essential driving 
  • Must have and maintain automobile insurance if driving a personal vehicle
