Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing services and tools to ensure self-sufficiency including case management, advocacy, and crisis-intervention for the rental assistance program. This full-time, salary position reports to the Housing Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist participants with a service plan and housing stability plan to include education, employment, long term housing, social services, and any additional services-based participants needs.
  • Conduct screening in and intakes with participants.
  • Assist participants with assessing needs including but not limited to safety planning, home management, education/career opportunities, community resources and financial empowerment.
  • Connect participants with outside programs/agencies ensuring they have services to meet any challenges or barriers.
  • Connect client with a domestic/sexual violence, substance abuse, behavioral/mental health, health care and other needed services.
  • Any duties related to ensuring the participants have needed tools for success to transition to affordable housing within 12 months.
  • Maintain client files, following state and agency guidelines.
  • Complete statistics and reports.
  • Participate in meetings and trainings necessary for the success of the program.
  • Assist with other duties for the success of participants and program.

Qualifications

  • Must successfully complete the 60-hour Sexual and Domestic Violence Training provided by Services Empowering Rights of Victims. The Case Manager 
  • Must have experience working with unvenerable populations. 
  • Prior experience working with advocacy and case management is preferred. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills is required. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. 
  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in social work, criminal justice or another human service-related field.
