POSITION SUMMARY:
Center For Family Services is seeking experienced and professional Clerical Assistant for the Warren County Designated Screening/Emergency Services Program. This program operates a 24/7 psychiatric crisis hotline and provides psychiatric commitment assessments within Warren County, New Jersey.
Location: Phillipsburg & Warren County, NJ
Job Type/Status: Full-Time; Tuesday- Saturday, 11am-7pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct bed searches for availability within psychiatric hospital units throughout the state at the start of each shift and as needed/ in real time.
Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies for a client's impending psychiatric hospitalization.
Call hospitals within Warren County to check disposition of clients waiting for transfer to another psychiatric unit/hospital.
Maintain two vehicles assigned to the DSC/ES program
Schedule and facilitate vehicle maintenance appointments
Monitor gas tank and fill gas tank as needed
Maintain cleanliness of program vehicles
Collect & replace vehicle forms on the first of each calendar month
Prepare monthly vehicle use packets for Fleet Manager
Assist Hospital staff with sticker labeling documents for their charts, as needed.
Download charts out of Hospital EPIC EHR system, organize documents and purge duplicate information for sending to psychiatric hospital admission.
Data entry into the USTF system as cases are accepted/discharged.
Use of Microsoft and Google products to record and organize work.
Deliver documents, as needed, to CFS Washington Office and two Hospital Emergency Departments within the county.
Complete documentation and reports to be submitted to supervisor on a timely basis.
Meet with supervisor on a regular basis and participate in regularly scheduled program meetings.
Take responsibility for professional development through attendance at relevant workshops and seminars.
Participate in Center and Program performance improvement activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma, or equivalent
2 years of administrative experience
Proficient computer and clerical skills
Current driver's license with a clean driving record of at least three years.
