Job Type/Status: Full Time 

Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Clinician is responsible for providing comprehensive therapeutic services to youth in out-of-home treatment, including individual, family, and group therapy. Working on-site, the Clinician supports youth with various mental health diagnoses, addressing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. They develop and implement treatment plans, conduct assessments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible care and outcomes for each youth. This role requires strong clinical skills, crisis intervention abilities, and a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compliant with funding source, contract and or program’s Annex A

  • Complete required documentation within established timeframes per Federal, State, County, and agency

    regulations, policy and procedure

  • Provide competent, direct clinical services with children, adolescents and families through a variety of

    modalities such as individual, group, and family therapy.

  • Provide comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment appropriate to psychiatric

    recommendations and members presenting concerns regardless of race, gender, culture, or ethnicity.

  • Develops a treatment plan that includes long term goals, short-term objectives, and interventions.

  • Participates in regular clinical supervision in accordance with the guidelines of his/her professional

    organization; take responsibility with maintaining professional license; obtain advanced license; participate

    in staff professional development training and workshops as mandated/required.

  • Utilize interventions based on systemic, behavioral and cognitive modalities of Collaboratively develop

    individual and family service plans and goals which are behaviorally specific with the family.

  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.

  • Develop a transition plan with individuals/families to assist with termination and ensure linkage to ongoing

    support.

  • Willingness to utilize clinical supervision to promote independent decision-making and enhance system

    collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s Degree in related human services field

    • Clinical Licensure as a social worker or licensed professional counselor or posses an equivalent license

      from an accredited board

    • Minimum two years direct clinical experience, providing psychotherapy within a behavioral health setting.

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    • Ability to sit for extended periods during documentation tasks, group meetings, and administrative tasks.
    • Ability to walk up and down stairs.
    • Capability to stand for prolonged periods during presentations, events, or meet-and-greet sessions.
    • Ability to assist youth with daily activities and participate in group recreational or therapeutic activities.
    • Ability to meet and fulfill all physical requirements of Handle with Care Training
    • Be comfortable working in various residential settings, including shared spaces and therapy rooms.
    • Ability to travel to various locations, including family homes, community organizations, and program sites, using reliable transportation.
    • Capability to navigate staircases, uneven terrain, and other physical environments encountered during community visits
    • Provide assistance in the use of adaptive equipment & assistive devices for youth with specific needs.
    • Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and other office equipment with precision.
    • Visual acuity to review documents, input data, and perform detailed tasks.
    • Adequate hearing and speech capabilities to engage in conversations, presentations, and phone communication clearly and effectively.
