Position Summary: 

Seeking full -time counselor for an evidence-based program that provides in-home family counseling for youth, between the ages of 12 and 17 ½, and their families throughout Camden County, NJ. Youth serviced are at risk of out-of-home placement or court involvement due to challenges with family and peer relationships, and other behavioral or academic concerns. All services are provided in the home.  Extensive and ongoing trainings are offered. Excellent driving record and thorough background check is required.

Job Type/Status: Full-Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct counseling and case management services to families following the Multi-Systemic Therapy model

  • May perform specialized activities and functions specific to program.

  • Completes documentation and other reporting requirements. 

  • Coordinate with other stakeholders involved in youth and family's ecology to address and achieve treatment goals

  • Meets regularly with supervisor and participates in other continuing professional development opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education Required: Bachelor's degree required with 3 years experience working with youth and families; 

  • Education Preferred: Master's degree preferred in social work, counseling, or other related field

  • Must have valid Driver's License, Insurance, Registration and automobile.

  • Minimum 1-year experience working with youth and families

  • Previous work with adolescents, in-home therapy, competent in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, family systems therapy, and strength based approach techniques.
