Location: Passaic County, NJ
Job Type/Status: Full-time; 35 hours/week

Position Summary:

Center for Family Services is seeking an experienced, dependable, and responsible Fiscal Associate. This individual sorts checks and places them in envelopes and maintains and keeps current all electronic vendor files by bank accounts, vendors and location on an ongoing basis. The Fiscal Support Assistant assists the Finance Department in various projects, provides outstanding customer service in all Agency interactions, and has outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Embrace and demonstrate the mission, philosophy and values of CFS
  • Maintain a caseload as per program requirements.
  • Collaboratively develop individual and family service plans and goals which are behaviorally specific with the family.
  • Provide 24/7 emergency crisis response phone/in person to agency clients on a rotation basis.
  • Respond to crisis call within 1 hour and Provide crisis intervention
  • Provide case management services by coordinating services to meet the needs of the family.
  • Attend school meetings and court hearings as needed.
  • Assist team leads in training as needed both in field and in the office
  • Develop a transition plan with families to assist with termination and ensure linkage to ongoing support.
  • Attend and participate in individual and team supervision as well as any required meetings as determined by the program coordinator.
  • Utilize one-way mirror, video tapes, and field supervision when available and as required by the program coordinator.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork in a thorough, timely and professional manner as per agency timeframes
  • Coordinate and/or participate in collateral meetings.
  • Maintain timely and relevant communication with all involved parties weekly.
  • Document all contact within 24 hours.
  • Maintain ethical and legal compliance.
  • Complete all required trainings through CFS and CSOC
  • Maintain yearly CAT certification
  • Familiarize yourself with NCSW code of ethics and base decisions on code
  • Read through and be familiar with Direct service Handbook
  • Read through and be familiar with Manuel for Agency policy and procedure
  • Currently working a hybrid model

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric
  • nursing, criminal justice, special education) and a minimum of one year of experience working with children and families.
  • Licensure as a Certified Social Worker or possess an equivalent license from an accredited board.
  • Must be energetic, creative, and able to work as part of a community resource team, and be culturally competent and responsive.
  • Must have a car, valid driver's license and pass a criminal background check.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and assessment skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite proficient).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
