Position Summary:

Primary responsibilities include overall guidance and administration of the Living Proof Recovery Support Centers, the Support Team for Addiction Recovery (STAR) and the Family Support Center - ReConnections.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership and Planning

  • Develop short and long-term goals, with staff and senior management, which support the mission of the programs

  • Appraise the execution of the programs' goals, objectives and programmatic priorities to ensure consistency with the mission

  • Facilitate innovation in program activities based upon current and future trends in substance abuse treatment initiatives and client needs

  • Develop and maintain collaborations with local government, state agencies, providers, consumers, consumer advocates, research institutions and other key stakeholders

Communication

  • Advise the Senior Director of Recovery Support Services, the Associate Vice President of Addition and Recovery Services, and the Advisory Boards on the Recovery Support Centers and recovery-related issues 

  • Establish effective working relationships with and among the program staffs and provide oversight of all program supervisors 

  • Supervise STAR staff providing monthly meetings biweekly phone or face to face for minimally 15 minutes

  • Supervision of Family Support Center Coordinator (FSCC) is minimally 1-hour weekly supervision.

  • Represent and promote the programs at City, State, national and other forums

  • Deliver services in a culturally competent and linguistic manner

Financial and Contractual

- Participate in the development and analysis of the program annual budgets- Review and approve expenditures and forward to Senior Director 

- Identify, develop, obtain and manage contract requirements as set out in program Annex As

- Draft reports and other programmatic and fiscal documents for review and approval by Senior Director, AVP, and/or VP

Management and Oversight

- Recruit, select, hire and supervise program supervisors and coordinators

- Foster collaborative relationships and undertakings among the program staffs, the volunteers and the Recovery Community in Southern New Jersey

- Provide leadership and supervision of staff and take appropriate action to foster effective team performance

- Provide regular performance feedback and conduct annual performance reviews

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The Program Supervisor must possess an LPC, LCSW or other Master's or higher level clinical license.

  • Lived substance abuse recovery and the integration of the 12-step model of recovery is helpful

  • Evidence of working with substance use disorder population and/or evidence of addiction coursework

Knowledge and Skills

- Experience in identifying, developing, obtaining and managing grants.

- Experience in successful program/project development and management

- Extensive knowledge of recovery-related systems, programs, interventions, and workforce needs 

- Broad knowledge of substance abuse government programs and priorities, including trends in health policy, funding and government;

- Highly effective time management, personnel management, event planning and organizational skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication 

- Proficiency in email and scheduling, Microsoft word processing, excel spreadsheets, and Power Point presentation software applications.
