POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Internship Department is committed to professional development in the area of human services.  The Intern Coordinator is a full-time, professional staff.  The Internship Coordinator supports the ongoing development and implementation of new and existing high impact experiential learning programs. Special interest in expanding and enhancing the agency's relationships with college and universities, as well as, increase the number of interns per year.  The focus is to uplift the communities we serve by supporting higher education.

Location: Voorhees, NJ

Job Type/Status: Full-Time

Performance Expectations:

  • Build and maintain a positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Advises students on available internship opportunities and helps them acquire internships within the agency appropriate to their goals

  • Continue to develop, implement, manage, assess and improve an effective robust internship program for CFS

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop partnerships with educational institutions to provide internship opportunities to students

  • Respond to all student inquires

  • Recruit, screen, and interview internship candidates

  • Work with students and CFS internship supervisors to ensure placement requirements are being met, in terms of required hours, scope, relevance, and level of responsibility 

  • Support the interns through any compliance and/or onboarding steps required by CFS and the identified program

  • Develop and manage efficient systems and processes that will support growth, build more synchronized internship and employment recruitment pathways, and capture data, metrics, and impact.

  • Maintain administrative database for purposes of tracking all interns

  • Ensure that appropriate internship agreements are completed accurately and kept securely 

  • Market and represent Center For Family Services for internships, student and educational affiliations 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in the Behavior Sciences, Human Services, or other relevant social services field. 

  • Work experience in areas related to education, case-management, workforce training, and/or human services

  • Demonstrate ability to organize and work independently as a coordinator and as part of a team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Must meet motor vehicle driver eligibility per agency requirements.  Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, and have the ability to reach various agency and community locations regularly.  Must maintain automobile insurance coverage if driving a personal vehicle

  • Must be a self-starter and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
