Position Summary:

Center For Family Services is seeking motivated and passionate interns interested in gaining hands-on experience in various professional spaces. Internships are designed to support students' academic and professional growth through direct experience within one of our agency's programs. Placement opportunities vary and are available in areas such as behavioral health, early childhood education, victim services, workforce development, safe and supportive housing programs, and administrative departments. Interns will have the opportunity to develop core professional competencies, support the mission of uplifting the community, and contribute to impactful work alongside our experienced professionals.

  • Participate in training, supervision, and reflective learning.

  • Engage respectfully and effectively with clients, staff, and team members.

  • Apply academic knowledge to real-world experiences in alignment with learning goals.

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all agency policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day operations of assigned programs or departments.

  • Assist with administrative, outreach, direct service, or project-based tasks depending on placement.

  • Attend team meetings, training, and supervision sessions.

  • Complete required documentation and learning contracts as outlined in the placement agreement.

  • Communicate regularly with program staff and the Internship Coordinator.

  • Comply with onboarding, orientation, and training requirements as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an academic program (undergraduate or graduate level) and a course or elective that requires an internship.

  • Ability to commit to an agreed-upon schedule and meet academic/program hour requirements.

  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute positively to the team.

  • Must meet any site-specific requirements including background checks or clearances.

  • Reliable transportation may be required depending on placement.
