Position Summary:

Center for Family Services is seeking a full time, experienced coordinator who is passionate about ensuring quality support services to vulnerable children and their families. The Middle School Coordinator responsible for working with the Camden City School District and H.B. Wilson Family School staff to oversee and coordinate SBYS programs, services, supports, and activities; ensure adherence to grant requirements and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory oversight and management of school-based staff and model.
  • Ensure alignment with school based operational manual.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships and collaboration with school and community resources.
  • Establishes strong, productive, consistent, and trusting relationships with students, caregivers.
  • Establishes strong, productive, consistent, and trusting relationships with school site staff and administrators to ensure aligned goals, quality programming and support.
  • Support, maintain, and helps publicize a coordinated schedule of programs and activities, including awareness week events and parent engagement events.
  • Provides direct facilitation of activities aligned with Why Try, My Mindset Matters and Phoenix curriculums and supports staff to do so.
  • Maintains professional growth and development for self and team throughout the year by attending and organizing workshops and trainings that will aid in providing services and experiences to students and families.
  • Builds new and maintains relationships with community partners around relevant resources.
  • Collaborates with external sources to develop or enhance services directly applicable to the families' lives. (i.e., anger management, relationships, life transitions and pressures, etc.)
  • As needed, participates in meetings/discussions with other SBYS, CFS and Camden Promise Neighborhood sites.
  • Coordinates the collection and input of evaluation data to measure ongoing program effectiveness of services, levels of service, and program outcome measure.
  • Develops, manages, and coordinates documents needed for alignment of internal and external program audits and compliance requirements.
  • Supports the timely submission of all required reports and supporting materials.
  • Supervises the SBYS team, including the Youth Development Specialist and Mental Health Counselor.
  • Works with school administrators to support collaboration and integration of SBYS enrichment programming.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work or human services related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in collaboration with community and youth.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, resiliency, and protective factors
  • Experience in facilitating groups and workshops.
  • Experience in using data to drive outcomes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter, organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Ability to multitask, meet strict deadlines, and work under time pressure.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Access to reliable transportation
