POSITION SUMMARY:

CFS is seeking a full-time, experienced Prevention Consultant who is passionate about ensuring quality support services for vulnerable children and their families. The Prevention Consultant will be responsible for coordinating all family and community programs, services, and activity events within the Camden County Student Support Services continuum of solutions. This individual will link youth and families to needed community resources, use data to identify gaps in services, inform quality improvement, and provide family and community support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with consultants, school districts, and community service providers to facilitate training, workshops, webinars, assemblies, etc. 

  • Will assist in the programmatic data collection, reporting, continuous quality improvement processes and evaluation of services to the target population.

  • Conducts family intakes, needs assessments, and coordinates with the Licensed Clinicians. 

  • Receive, assess, and appropriately route incoming referrals.

  • Maintain and track referral receipt and related data input and management. 

  • Maintain a caseload of families requiring case management and coordination supports, ensuring successful linkage and provision of supports. 

  • Provide case management coordination for concrete needs of students and families on individual caseload and, as appropriate, coordinating with the Licensed Clinicians for the same. 

  • Attends school, agency, partnership, training, and community-based meetings as required. 

  • Enter and maintain all individual, family, and group information in the designated data system. 

  • Maintain client contact levels based on program guidelines. 

  • Maintains sign-in sheets, attendance sheets, and documentation for activities, workshops, and events. 

  • Maintains appropriate professional and ethical boundaries, professional attitude, confidentiality, and respect for cultural factors. 


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field, experience in the provision of prevention related programs. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional experience as indicated on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one.

  • At least three (3) years' experience working in non-profit, social service environments in development or implementation of community-based services, prevention programs, or any other human service programs. year of experience.

  • Experience in implementing evidence-based practice models and other materials related to training, coaching according to policies and procedures.

  • A commitment to the clients, mission, and programs of Center for Family Services. 

  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred, but not required. . 

  • Prior knowledge and experience with at-risk children and their families.

  • Experience working with cross-sector collaborations of nonprofit organizations and community partners. 

  • Demonstrated success in a team oriented setting. 

  • 2-to-3 years' experience in non-profit setting preferred. 

  • Experience with data entry management. 

  • Ability to multitask, meet strict deadlines, and work under pressure. 

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written. 

  • Strong computer skills and complete knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). 

  • Valid New Jersey driver's license, safe driving record, and vehicle availability are

  • required. If applicable, will be required to present proof of acceptable driving record, a current driver's license, and proof of liability insurance.
