Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct supervision and annual performance evaluations to Intensive Family Support Services (IFSS) staff.

  • Ensure adequate IFSS program staff coverage for all hours of program operation and provide back-up staff coverage as needed.

  • Conduct needs assessments of families referred to IFSS program.

  • Market the IFSS program to community referral sources and the target population of the serious and persistent mentally ill.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the IFSS program in accordance with DMHAS/DOH guidelines.

  • Ensure coordination of IFSS activities with other Center and community agencies/services as indicated.

  • Coordinate IFSS program performance improvement and quality assurance activities and participate in Center performance improvement activities.

  • Ensure that IFSS program staff complete required documentation/statistical information in accordance with Program and Center procedures.

  • Coordinate all referrals to the Partial Care (PC) program and schedule/complete intakes. 

  • Complete comprehensive assessments for individuals in the Partial Care program, involving family members and significant others as permitted by the consumer.

  • Provide potential PC consumers with community resource information.

  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with PC program referral sources.

  • Provide  psycho-education and therapeutic support to PC consumers and family members and facilitate referrals to the CFS continuum of services as needed. Coordinate with outside service providers and agencies such as probation, social service agencies, residential providers, self-help centers, etc in a timely manner.

  • Cover up to 6 PC groups each week for planned staff absences.  Cover up to 2 PC groups per day for an unplanned staff absence. 

  • Train new PC staff on clinical documentation standards, including treatment plans and discharge planning.

  • Make self available to meet the changing needs of the programs.

  • Maintain up to date documentation in consumer clinical files and complete all documentation within agency and state licensing guidelines.

  • Responsible for insurance authorization and Utilization Review (UR) for PC consumers covered under managed care insurance companies.

  • Interface with Billing Department on a weekly basis to monitor PC program revenue.

  • Develop comprehensive recovery plans and discharge plans for PC consumers in conjunction with individuals, family members, and/or significant others as permitted by the consumer.

  • Provide crisis intervention services to consumers in PC program or referral to screening services for involuntary hospitalization, as needed.

  • Schedule and facilitate Interdisciplinary Partial Care Team Meetings, on a weekly basis, to share information regarding consumer, program and community issues.

  • Develop PC Group Schedule on quarterly basis.

  • Complete chart reviews for Intensive Family Support Services, Partial Care, Family Crisis Intervention Unit. 

  • Monthly billing for Quality Commercial Cleaning and PC Nutrition.

  • Facilitate monthly QCC Leadership Meeting.

  • Supervise up to three interns.

  • Ensure that program monitoring and evaluation reports (QCMR and QCPR) are prepared/submitted in an accurate and timely fashion for IFSS and FCIU.

  • Assist with contract renewals for IFSS and FCIU; Associate Vice President holds primary responsibility for contract renewals.

  • Develop productivity standards for Supported Employment.

  • Actively participate in scheduled supervision, administrative and clinical meetings.

  • Take responsibility for professional development and meeting licensure requirements for maintaining credentials through attendance at relevant workshops and seminars.

  • Conduct self in a manner consistent with the Center's Code of Ethics.

  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Counseling or related behavioral health field. 

  • Two years experience with individuals with mental health issues, or special needs
