Program Summary:
Center For Family Services is seeking experienced and professional Clinician/Program Supervisor for the Crisis Diversion Home Program. This is a 24-hour residential group home for adults who recently experienced a mental health crisis. The Crisis Diversion Home provides a nurturing, supportive, and structured environment where our consumers can develop trust, learn to manage their illness and live independently.
Location: Warren County, NJ
Job Type/Status: Full time, Monday- Friday with on-call responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides supervision, oversight and disciplinary action when needed to direct care staff members
- Ensures staff are up-to-date on trainings
- Signs off on new orientation tracker when orientation has been completed
- Reviews program incident reports
- Hosts monthly staff meetings along with Clinical Coordinator
- Responsible for interviewing and hiring new staff members
- Completes annual performance evaluations
- Assists with non-clinical intake tasks; reviews and signs all client intakes
- Responsible for overseeing all program purchases and maintaining financial documentation
- Responsible for safeguarding contraband until turned into proper authorities and for destroying contraband that is not required to be turned into authorities
- Reviews bed checks twice weekly at minimum
- Plans and implements the occupational, recreational, social and other developmental plans designed for each individual in the Crisis Diversion Home.
- Assists with the admission process on new client admissions and orientation procedures and schedules.
- Responsible for ensuring the internal and external facilities of the program are maintained in a way to present CFS as a good neighbor and welcomed member of the community.
- Completes life safety checks: unscheduled facility spot checks twice monthly
- Completes weekly facility walkthroughs and checklist and ensures all corresponding work orders are placed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA degree in social work or allied field preferred, experience may be substituted for education
- At least two years experience working with individuals in the behavioral health field
- Experience with MI/DD population preferred
- Good communication and problem solving skills
- Current driver's license with a good driving record of at least three years
- English-Spanish bilingual preferred
