Salary: $65,000 per year

Position Summary

The resource navigator will be dedicated to provide low-barrier, trauma-informed assistance from intake through discharge for each household assigned. Serves as the primary point of contact for clients. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists a minimum of 20 households per Navigator per month. 
  • Screen for eligibility across OEHP, HPP, SRAP, TRA, and local/county programs. 
  • Prevent duplication and denial of assistance by documenting all screenings. 
  • Guide households through financial assistance, legal referral, and stabilization. 
  • Processes households for HPP arrears assistance and flexible funds. 
  • Prevent eviction judgments for non-payment. 
  • Stabilize households by paying arrears or facilitating relocation. 
  • Serve as the first line of financial support before flex funds are deployed. 
  • Prevent shelter entry by enabling immediate moves. 
  • Ensure relocated units are habitable and stable. 
  • To provide low barrier, rapid response funds for crises not covered by HPP, ensuring households avoid homelessness when statutory limits are insufficient. 
  • To ensure that all households receiving intensive support have access to legal review, advice, and or representation through weekly collaborative case conferencing or escalated individual case conferencing, as appropriate. 
  • To maintain consistent, transparent statewide data on prevention services. 
  • To embed navigators in the landlord-tenant court ecosystem to prevent displacement in real time.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with at-risk individuals and families; including family stabilization services, homeless prevention, and navigating housing resources required.
  • Experience working with legal services and landlord-tenant court ecosystem preferred
  • Familiar with the Housing First principles preferred.
  • Ideal candidates would have lived experience
  • Must have a vehicle, valid registration, insurance and driver license.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform a range of physical motions, including but not limited to: sitting for long periods of time; standing; walking; and climbing stairs.
