Position Summary

Mosaic Early Learning is seeking an experienced, organized, and efficient educational professional for the Site Supervisor position. The Site Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a small unit or single site within the program. The Site Supervisor performs administrative functions including completing reports, maintaining administrative records and enrollment lists, scheduling meetings, and supporting staff. This individual addresses areas of concern, performs classroom observations, monitors classroom activities, and assures the continuing training and development of program staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct services and administrative supervision of projects
  • May provide direct service activity as needed.
  • Assures the continuing training and development of program
  • Regularly schedules meetings with program staff to discuss pl and program functioning.
  • Representative of the knowledge, skills, made to enable individuals with staff, students and volunteers.
  • Performs administrative functions including the completion of reports in a timely manner in accordance with funders' requirements.
  • Conducts employee evaluations annually in accordance with Center for Family Services' policies and procedures
  • Treats colleagues and students as individuals with respect and dignity.
  • Promotes and provides culturally competent client care and staff interactions that respond respectfully to the strengths and skills of diverse ethnicities and cultures, languages, socio-economic classes, disabilities, religions, genders, sexual orientation and other related factors.
  • Provides leadership to staff, and promotes a sense of agency with co-workers and staff, and communicates in ways that support agency mission and values + Completes documentation and other reporting requirements. *
  • Attends all required staff meetings, program and Center for Family Services activities.
  • Reviews progress in professional development and growth objectives periodically with supervisor.
  • Discusses family and staff issues, when necessary, only with the appropriate staff.
  • Reports any suspected child/elder abuse and neglect per New Jersey's guidelines
  • Conducts self as a role model in interactions with staff, colleagues and funding sources in accordance with Center for Family Services' Code of Ethics.

Requirements:

  • BA in Early Childhood Education or related field with coursework equivalents to a major in ECE is required but a Master's in Early Childhood Education is preferred
  • 2 years of supervisory experience working in a classroom setting
  • Must meet current Mandates
  • Maintains First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Excellent driving skills and current driver's license with a driving record of at least three years
  • Vehicle with current insurance and registration

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions including heat, snow, rain and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, up to 4 hours.
  • Must be able to lift / carry up to 20 Ibs.
  • Must be able to interact in all ways (i.c.; functions / activities necessary to supervise or participate with the client population to be served).
  • Must be able to travel to different Center for Family Services' building sites
