Position Summary:

Center For Family Services is seeking motivated and compassionate individuals for the Residential Counselor positions within its HomeBase Program.  The positions available are in a growing program that provides transitional living assistance for young men age 16-20. Through HomeBase, young men have the opportunity to participate in community activities and to work together to support each other, encouraging them to care about themselves and others. The program also helps young men develop an independent living plan and set goals for a positive future. The Residential Counselor is a key member of the program's team in providing direct counseling services and support to young men in the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Residential Counselor engages in caring supervision and structure for youth in residence which is consistent with stated goals and objectives. This individual teaches budgeting and money management skills and also provides life and social skills training, guides, instructs, and counsels youth in the program. The Residential Counselor oversees goal setting groups and provides on-to-one assistance. The Residential Counselor ensures that youth complete their goals as set forth in their treatment plan.

Requirements: 

• High School Diploma is required but a Bachelor's Degree is preferred

• Two years' experience working with adolescents

• Current driver's license with a good driving record of at least three years

• Vehicle with current insurance and registration
