Our Opioid Overdose Recovery Program, offers connections and assistance to individuals treated with Narcan (Naloxone) as a result of an opioid overdose. The goal of the OORP is to help people stay engaged in recovery. A Peer Specialist must have at least 2 years of personal recovery experience and utilize the “many pathways to recovery” theory of care. Peer Specialists must be comfortable working with hospital staff in a fast paced environment and with using electronic record keeping for documentation.
