Job Type/Status: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Runs groups with consumers who are both in individual treatment as well as individuals who are medication only-as a method to extend and/or enhance the continuum of care.
• Runs at least two groups a day, Mon-Fri, and ensures that each group contains the maximum number of consumers, allowable by state regulations (8 for MH consumers and 10-12 for co-occurring consumers).
• Develop comprehensive holistic assessments of children, adolescents, adults, older adults and clients with secondary diagnosis of MR/DD; involve family members as indicated.
• Develop individual and family focused treatment plans which are goal directed; involve family members as indicated.
• Coordinate treatment planning with internal and external stakeholders including FGC staff and external stakeholders including DCP&P, schools, the Prosecutor's Office, Probation, Parole, IDRC, Office on Aging and other relevant agencies and services.
• Complete evaluations and treatment progress notes in accordance with agency policies.
• Complete reports to be submitted to DCP&P, the Court, the Prosecutor's Office, Probation, Parole and IDRC on a timely basis.
• Meet with supervisor on a regular basis.
• Be familiar with community resources and refer clients as indicated.
• Participates in regularly scheduled department meetings and attends scheduled administrative/clinical meetings
• Takes responsibility for professional development and meeting licensure requirements for maintaining credentials through attendance at relevant workshops and seminars
• Participates in Center and Program performance improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field, from  an accredited University.
• License for independent practice in New Jersey, in good standing, LAC/LPC or LSW/LCSW
• Two years supervised experience in working with mentally ill clients
• Develops and runs outpatient groups, at two FGC locations (Washington and Phillipsburg),Monday-Friday (two evenings required).
