Center For Family Services is seeking a responsible and organized individual to fill the Full Time Health Care Enrollment Navigator position for the Navigator Exchange Program. The Navigator Exchange Program provides trained Navigators to assist people in obtaining health coverage throughout New Jersey. The Navigator will assist in promoting the ACA Exchange and NJ FamilyCare to consumers as well as assist with eligibility, plan selection and enrollment in all of the insurance affordability programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach and public education activities to raise awareness about the Marketplace and the full range of health insurance coverage options.
- Maintain expertise in eligibility policy and procedures, enrollment, and program specifications.
- Provide information and services in a fair, accurate, and impartial manner. Such information must acknowledge other health programs.
- Facilitate selection of a Qualified Health Plans.
- Make referrals to any applicable office of health insurance ombudsman, consumer assistance program (CAP), or other state agency(ies) that can help enrollees with a grievance, complaint, or other questions.
- Provide information in a manner that is culturally and linguistically appropriate to the needs of the population being served by the Exchange, including individuals with limited English proficiency, and ensure accessibility and usability of navigator services by individuals with disabilities.
- Meets with Program Director regularly to evaluate outreach and enrollment efforts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services field and/or
- At least two years' experience working with program population
- Ability to communicate effectively to program population
- Customer service experience and excellent verbal and writing skills
- Ability to pass and maintain annual state Navigator certification
- Bilingual speaker in English and Spanish is preferred
- Knowledge of public health access, ACA, healthcare.gov preferred
- Experience working with underserved populations preferred
- Current driver's license with a driving record of at least three years
- Vehicle with current insurance and registration
