In Home Counselor IIC

Summary:  

Center for Family Services is seeking an experienced, dedicated and skilled individual for the Intensive in Community Counselor position within the Great Abilities Program. Great Abilities is an intensive, in-home program designed to improve the well-being and quality of life of youth and their families. The overall goal is to support and strengthen the environment for youth and their families, so they can obtain the skills necessary to thrive in the home and in the community.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

The Intensive in Community Counselor (IIC) facilitates clinical services for youth who have been identified as having behavioral and /or mental health concerns.  The Clinical Services are primarily to be provided via face-to face involvement with the youth and families primarily in the family's home that are authorized through the Children's System of Care (CSOC) and managed by Performcare.  This is a fee for service position with a varied schedule that is based on the needs and availability of the youth and families.

Requirements: 

  • Counselor III- LAC, LSW, MFT required; Counselor IV- LPC, LCSW, LMFT preferred 

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing

  • 1 year of related experience with youth and families with mental health needs and/ or developmental disabilities 

  • Experience with Performcare and the Children's System of Care in New Jersey (CSOC) preferred

  • Current driver's license with a good driving record of 3 years 

  • Vehicle with current insurance and registration
