Individual Support Technician I (IST-2) - FFS - Great Abilities

Position Summary: 

Center For Family Services is seeking an experienced, dedicated and skilled individual for the Individual Support Technician I (IST-2) position within the Great Abilities Program. Great Abilities improves the quality of life and well-being for youth and their families with specialized services for children and adolescents with behavioral health and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our continuum of care includes Intensive In-Home (IIH), Individual Support Services (ISS), Intensive In-Community (IIC), Psychiatric Evaluations/Medication Monitoring, Psychological Evaluations, Bio-psychological Assessments, and Trauma Informed Care. The goal of the Great Abilities program is to help youth build better relationships while remaining at home with their families. 

Location: Various Locations, Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Salem/Cumberland Counties

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement Individual Support Plan and provide one-to-one support to youth
  • Teach ADL/Instrumental skills to youth who have intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • Train parent/guardian in implementation of Individual Support Plan
  • Perform data collection
  • Maintain contact with supervisor and immediately report any concerns
  • Files all paperwork in the chart within a two-week time frame
  • Completes promptly and accurately progress notes, behavior plans and encounter forms
  • Attend clinical supervision one time per month
  • Other related duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field
  • At least one year experience working with youth
  • Must have ability to provide leadership, be a role model, and have life experiences preparing counselor to relate positively to youth
  • Current driver's license with a good driving record of 3 years 
  • Vehicle with current insurance and registration
