Navigator- Navigator Exchange Program- Somerset

Summary:

Center For Family services is seeking responsible and organized individual to fill the Part Time Navigator position for the Navigator Exchange Program. The Navigator Exchange Program program provides trained Navigators to assist people in obtaining health coverage throughout New Jersey.  The Navigator helps consumers understand healthcare options and assists consumers in completing applications.

Location: Somerset, NJ

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Navigator connects and enrolls consumers to health care coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicaid.  The Navigator does public outreach and tabling events to increase awareness of the Affordable Care Act and is a skilled public speaker. The Navigator excels at customer service, has excellent verbal and writing skills, and effectively communicates with consumers in the program.  The Navigator has a passion for connecting consumers with health care coverage. The schedule for this position is flexible; however, hours are generally Monday through Friday but require some evening and weekend hours.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Customer service experience and excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekends
  • Bilingual speaker in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Knowledge of public health access, ACA, healthcare.gov preferred
  • Experience working with underserved populations preferred
  • Current driver's license with a driving record of at least three years
  • Vehicle with current insurance and registration
