POSITION SUMMARY:

Center For Family Services is seeking a full-time, experienced professional who is passionate about workforce development and creating a  successful re-entry career pathway for justice-impacted individuals. The Program Supervisor will support Center For Family Services' workforce development efforts through coordinating and supporting clear and viable pathways to success in the workforce. To accomplish these tasks, the Supervisor will work closely with community partners, employer partners, program partners, and participants.. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, develops, and implements a CFS workforce development service delivery program as part of the career readiness/workforce development strategy for JOBS

  • Develops, manages and maintains partnerships with businesses, governmental agencies (i.e., City, County and State), educational institutions, and other community-based organizations.

  • Uses above relationships to develop a tangible job placement pathway for adults 

  • Lead team and project meetings for program growth and quality assurance

  • Actively promote the importance of workforce development internally and externally

  • Develops and implements strategies to increase industry specific and general employer commitments to partner and create employment opportunities.

  • Provide programmatic and fiscal oversight of pathways to success/workforce development programming

  • Ensure JOBS programming meets and exceeds funder expectations

  • Monitor program outcomes an activities through data collection, dashboard, analysis and quality improvement

  • Write and submit program reports for CFS and funders

  • Lead the development of individualized employment plans for all program participants

  • Develop specific program procedures and manuals that ensure successful program operations

  • Work collaboratively with the Workforce Development Boards and One Stops in the counties listed in the "location" section, to ensure effective integration and seamless handoffs for program participants

  • Create an environment of collaboration and accountability

  • Closely work with local partners for job development pipelines, as well as other areas of integration.

  • Expands externships, apprenticeships, and internships.

  • Works closely with the Director of Research and Development to collect, organize and analyze data about youth through records, tests, interviews, and other sources to appraise their interests, aptitudes, abilities and personality characteristics.


REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sociology, Psychology, Public Administration, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field.

  • Experience working with justice-impacted adults is strongly preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of program work experience in a multi-fund non-profit agency is strongly preferred.

  • Experience working with workforce development services, job development and placement,  and/or family support programs is strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of labor market trends and industry sectors.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of workforce development programs.

  • Demonstrated organization and planning skills to effectively work in a non-structured environment and adapt to changes in priorities.

  • Experience in using data to drive outcomes.

  • Experience working with individuals of diverse ethnic backgrounds.

  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Access to reliable transportation. If applicable, will be required to present proof of acceptable driving record, current driver's license, and proof of liability insurance.

  • Must pass a criminal background check prior to beginning employment. 

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include weekends and evenings.
