POSITION SUMMARY:

Center for Family Services' Peaceful Tomorrows works within a trauma-informed hope centered framework that creates an environment whose daily practices promote the well-being of both staff and those we serve. Peaceful Tomorrows, built within a continuum of CFS' victim and trauma response services, brings trauma specific counseling and care coordination services to children and teens impacted by domestic violence.

Job Type/Status: Full-Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Aligns with CFS philosophy that staff are our greatest resource. Provides leadership to staff, and promotes a sense of agency with co-workers and staff, and communicates in ways that support agency mission and values

  • Promotes and provides culturally competent client care and staff interactions that respond respectfully to the strengths and skills of diverse ethnicities and cultures, languages, socio-economic classes, disabilities, religions, genders, sexual orientation and other diversity related factors.

  • Supervision of clinical staff which is to include (but is not limited to) ongoing individual and/or group supervisory meetings, ongoing feedback regarding job performance, participation in case review conferencing and service planning, evaluation of paperwork and documentation and evaluation. 

  • Ensure service delivery and documentation compliance in accordance with CFS COA standards and written agreements and contracts

  • Provides clinical counseling with children and families in Camden County. (There may be flexibility to provide clinical services in another county of choice). 

  • Ensures the continuing training and development of staff

  • Works collaboratively with Program Director in using data to leverage strengths along program areas, manage program and products and to alter course of action when indicated

  • As ambassadors to the community and funders, develops and promotes relationships with other social service agencies and represents the program and agency in the community

  • Models respect and courtesy and promotes a culture of cooperation and harmony across the agency

  • Participation in client selection, intake and orientation

  • Complete documentation and other reporting requirements on a timely basis

  • Research and implement new evidence based-evidenced informed practices as written into new grants

  • Identify client success measurements across program components for replication and program improvement

  • Assist in grant writing and program manual 

  • Perform specialized activities and functions specific to program. See Program-Specific Responsibilities

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, case conference meetings, and agency wide meetings.

  • Meets regularly with supervisor, and participates in agency collaboration team meetings

  • Participates in continuing professional development opportunities

  • Adhere to policies and procedures of CFS 

  • Other duties as required


REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Master's degree in social work

  • LCSW required

  • Eligible to provide supervision to LSWs 

  • Experience working in the field of Domestic Violence or Trauma 

  • Experience working with children and families 

  • Ability to connect with people of varying backgrounds, appreciate and embrace diversity, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Experience in supervision and management

  • Excellent documentation skills, ability to set priorities, excellent follow-up, work well under pressure and deadlines. 

  • Possess strong organizational skills and personal skills.

  • Clearly communicate ideas in both written and verbal form

  • Work a flexible schedule including evenings
