The Quality Improvement Specialist provides quality professional services in keeping
with the agency goals and objectives.
Status: Full Time
Location: Voorhees, NJ
Responsibilities:
- ·
Completes program audits, case reviews and utilization reviews to
ensure programs are in compliance with agency standards, licensing, Council on
Accreditation, Medicaid and other applicable standards.
- ·
Travel to locations for on-site reviews, spot checks and
trainings.
- ·
Maintains a current understanding of regulations, procedures,
licensing standards, funder mandates and COA standards which impact Center For
Family Services' programs.
- ·
Responsible for coordinating and providing training. Prepares and updates training materials as
needed.
- ·
Support the review and development of policies and procedures to
ensure regulatory and contract compliance.
- ·
Works with assigned programs to inform on COA Standards throughout
the year, especially in the implementation of new programs, or when there are
COA Standards revisions.
- ·
Collaborate with program staff to discuss plans and programmatic
needs.
- ·
Participates in investigating incident reports and maintain ongoing
follow up and documentation concerning incidents and methods for risk
management, including completion of on-site, case record, and visual recording
reviews.
- ·
Support implementation and ongoing utilization of agency wide
system processes.
- ·
Participates in agency wide committees and initiatives.
- ·
Maintains and provides data for program reporting structure for the
agency leadership for consistent program performance and monitoring
- ·
Compile and aggregate program and agency level qualitative and
quantitative data for reporting purposes.
- ·
Completes necessary reports.
- ·
Provide support to special projects across the organization to
support and advance the quality improvement of internal and external
systems.
- ·
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- ·
Bachelor's Degree required, Human Services or Business Field,
preferred.
- ·
Two years of experience in quality improvement or 3-5 years of
experience with human services programing, supervisory experience preferred.
Residential Experience preferred.
- ·
Understanding of programmatic needs, processes and operations.
- ·
Experience and understanding of accreditation, licensing,
regulatory and contractual needs of programs in accordance with the agency's
mission and values.
- ·
Ability to identify problems and conduct root cause analysis of
programmatic operational needs.
- ·
Shows initiative in identifying areas of needed improvement,
problem solving and implementing innovative solutions.
- ·
Strong computer and data management skills.
- ·
Seeks ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy
and thoroughness.
- ·
Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational and
time management skills in order to manage multiple demands.
- ·
Dependability and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- ·
Sensitivity in functioning in a culturally diverse work setting.
- ·
Ability to communicate clearly and consistently.
- ·
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, and have the
ability to reach various agency locations regularly. Must maintain automobile insurance coverage if
driving a personal vehicle.
