Position Summary:
Center For Family Services is
seeking a full time Bilingual Assistant Program Director for our Juntos Program
located in Bridgewater, Somerset County, NJ. Juntos provides important services to unaccompanied minor
children who immigrated into the United States. Services
include; temporary shelter and support with family unification and
home study and
post release services. Family Reunification is the Junto's program
primary goal. The Bilingual Assistant Program Director will assists
the Senior Program Director in the provision of shelter services in accordance
with the requirements Department of Community Affairs, Department of Children
and Families and Office of refugee Services in operating a licensed shelter.
Duties and Responsibilities
including but not limited to;
- Assists the Senior Program Director in the provision of
shelter services in accordance with the requirements Department of
Community Affairs, Department of Children and Families and Office of
refugee Services in operating a licensed shelter.
- Ensures a structured shelter program including
organized scheduling of meals, life skills education, recreation, medical
and goal setting groups as needed.
- Coordinates delivery of services with Nursing,
educational and clinical staff
- Provides direct supervision to Senior Residential
Counselors, Residential Counselors, Cooks and Maintenance staff in the
Juntos Program consistent with stated goals and objectives, Day, Evening
and Weekends and maintains documentation of relevant supervisory
issues.
- Instructs guides and counsels staff and youth
informally throughout their interactions in day to day activities
- Creates and manages the staff schedule to ensure
service delivery and maintains compliance to ratio requirements
- Monitors contracted levels of service, completion of
required documentation, and record maintenance.
- Maintains liaisons with ORR and other contracting
agency personnel under the direction of the Senior Program Director
- If needed, Co-leads recreation and physical education
activities scheduled during shift
- Coordinates daily schedule, which includes visits from
attorneys, ICE and ORR representatives
- Provides one-to-one assistance and engages youth,
models Nurtured Heart and appropriate de-escalation techniques
- Substitutes in the event of Support Counselor absence.
- Provides direct level of supervision to youth in the
program, if needed.
- Ensures staff are assigned to transport youth for court
hearings, reunification with sponsors, and medical appointments
- Develops new program resources
- Provides staff training on ORR policy and procedures,
nurtured heard, and coaches staff in best practices
- Ensures that the physical site of the program is clean
and orderly, as set forth by policy and procedures
- Assists Counselors in teaching youth with daily life
skills, education, and chores in the program
- Serves as a member of the CFS Supervisory Team, works
closely with CQI, and PSA compliance manager to prevent incidents and if
they do occur, ensures proper protocols are followed
- Serves as a secondary liaison with ORR
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education,
Psychology, Sociology, or other relevant behavioral science, Master's
preferred
- 5 - 7 years of progressive employment experience with a
social services or childcare agency or organization
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Excellent Communication and Organizational skills
- Federal and State regulations require employees in
this position to be fully vaccinated. According to the CDC, fully
vaccinated means to have received the initial vaccination and at least one
booster shot. As you apply for this position, you will be required

- Current New Jersey driver's license with a driving
record of at least three years
- Must pass an initial and ongoing Motor Vehicle record
