POSITION SUMMARY:

Center for Family Services is seeking a Vice President of Crisis Services to join our collaborative and innovative team.  This is a full time position within the expanding service lines of behavioral health crisis services within the state of New Jersey.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with superior analytical skills and attention to detail, excellent judgement, emotional maturity, diplomacy and communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience building and guiding multiple teams that operate 24/7 required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains a wellness and recovery-oriented environment-across the Crisis Services Sector-by using person-centered planning, language and documentation, and by ensuring that services provided promote wellness and recovery outcomes.

  • Works collaboratively with the COO, Grants Team and Budget Analysts to submit timely grant applications to expand Crisis Services across the state of New Jersey.

  • Develops, launches and implements new programs including 

  • Demonstrates an understanding of NJ DMHAS regulations and fee-for-service Medicaid and 3rd party insurance billing.

  • Builds strong relationships with stakeholders at the organization, county, state and federal level to ensure that CFS fulfills its mission of expanding services to communities who need them.

  • Ensures daily direction and evaluation of employees and participates in the following processes along with HR and Executive Leadership: hiring, employee counseling and terminations.

  • Comfortable leading professionals, at multiple levels, including Registered Nurses (RN), BA level staff, Advanced Practice Nurses (APN), and Clinicians including LAC/LPC, LSW/LCSW.

  • Provides education and technical assistance to team members regarding all areas of the day-to-day operations of the CRSC, Designated Screening Center, IOC and all other crisis services. 

  • Ensures that relevant data is collected for contract monitoring, quality improvement, and other purposes as needed; ensures that data is used to improve services provided.

  • Ensures coordination and integration of crisis services with other Center for Family Services programs and other community programs/agencies in a manner that benefits consumers served.

  • Completes all assigned paperwork in a neat, accurate and timely manner.

  • Participates in required staff training and staff meetings as scheduled.

  • Participates in Center and Program performance improvement activities.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Master's degree in Social Work or an allied field of study, fully licensed in NJ to provide clinical services (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT). Minimum of 5-10 years of experience working with the serious and persistent mentally ill population, including dually diagnosed individuals. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
