Vice President of Residential, Adolescent & IDD Services (3035)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Center for Family Service is seeking a Vice President of Residential, Adolescents, and intellectual and Developmental Disability Services to and Provides strategic leadership for the agency by working with the COO, President/CEO, Board of Directors and the Executive Management Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. The Vice President assumes overall responsibility for multiple related programs and projects, which may include clinical oversight, administrative responsibilities, and Program development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands fiscal, contract and employee regulations and ensures agency programs in their line of responsibility are in compliance
  • In consultation with other executive team members, review Requests for Proposals and determines whether agencies should apply
  • Aligns with CFS philosophy that staff are our greatest resource. Provides leadership to staff, and promotes a sense of agency with co-workers and staff, and communicates in ways that support agency's mission and values.
  • Promotes and provides culturally competent client care and staff interactions that respond respectfully to the strengths and skills of diverse ethnicities and cultures, languages, socioeconomic classes, disabilities, religions, genders, sexual orientation and other diversity-related factors.
  • Provides administrative supervision of program staff, students and volunteers.
  • May provide direct service activity as needed. Coordinates and participates in on-call coverage in a 24/7 service environment.
  • Assures the continuing training and development of program staff.
  • Uses data to leverage strengths along program areas, manage programs and products and to alter course of action when indicated.
  • Regularly schedules meetings with program staff to discuss plans, address areas of potential problems and program functioning.
  • Coordinates program activities with appropriate liaison agencies to ensure constructive collaboration.
  • As ambassadors to the community and funders, develops and promotes relationships with other social service agencies and represents the program and agency in the community.
  • Review administrative documents such as reports, grants and contracts and revises as necessary to ensure they are completed in accordance with funders' requirements.
  • Models respect and courtesy and promotes a culture of cooperation and harmony across the agency
  • Demonstrates knowledge of surrounding community challenges and best practice, research-oriented solutions and the ability to utilize this knowledge to affect changes in the lives of our children and families
  • Attends all required staff meetings, program and Center For Family Services activities.
  • Participates in continuing professional development opportunities.
  • Discuss family and staff issues, when necessary, only with designated appropriate staff.
  • Reports any suspected child/elder abuse and neglect per New Jersey's guidelines
  • Conducts self as a role model in interactions with staff, colleagues and funding sources in accordance with the Center For Family Services Code of Ethics.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or other behavioral health field; eligibility for licensure preferred
  • At least 15 years of supervisory experience with increasing responsibility in an agency with an annual budget of at least $15 million dollars.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior management role; responsible for various facets of a progressive, growing agency, from developing grants to implementing the program and ensuring financial and contractual obligations are met in accordance with the agency's mission and values.
