Part Time Temporary Residential Aide

Center For Family Service and our Mother Child Residential Program is looking for a PT and/or Temporary Residential Aide to work at a women's residential shelter and maternity group home. Must be able to work well with children and adults. RA's are responsible for assisting in the coordination of residential services and providing professional treatment and care to residents.

Location: Camden

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone call, complete phone intakes, make referrals as necessary.
  • Complete intakes with incoming residents and assist with the welcoming process.
  • Engage and interact with residents providing empowering tool that assist with their self sufficiency. 
  • Assist all resident with the requirements needed to ensure their well being.
  • Provide in home support to resident modeling parenting, working with resident on conflict resolation, stress management and other educational topics. 
  • Assist resident with resources for housing, educational and career building opportunities.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the MCR facility by conducting regular checks and reporting maintanence concerns.  Complete a shift checklist which includes cleaning and organizing the facility.
  • Assist with shift coverage when needed.
  • Impose consequences to resident that do not comply with the program guidelines and expectations.
  • Complete data entry, maintain files, document all interaction with residents, comply with the program documentation policy and any other duties pertain to the program. 
Requirements:

  • High School Diploma preferred

  • GED required

  • At least two years of experience working with program population

  • Maintains First A and CPR certifications, as required by funder and licensing agent for

  • specific programs pertinent to this position

  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral direction.

  •  Ability to complete documents such as attendance sheets and incident reports using                                                                      accepted grammatical and spelling standards

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.

  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion.

  • Ability to read and respond to email in a professional manner

  • Current driver's license with an good driving record of at least three years

  • Vehicle with current insurance and registration
