Pride Center Counselor (5535)

Location: Mercer and Burlington Counties, NJ

Position Status: Fee for Service

Salary: $36 per hour (20 hours per month)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide competent, direct clinical services with children, adolescents and families through a variety of modalities such as individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Provide comprehensive clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment appropriate to psychiatric recommendations and members presenting concerns regardless of race, gender, culture, or ethnicity.
  • Develops a treatment plan that includes long term goals, short-term objectives, and interventions.
  • Participates in regular clinical supervision in accordance with the guidelines of his/her professional organization; take responsibility with maintaining professional license; obtain advanced license, participate in staff professional development trainings and workshops as mandated/required.
  • Utilize interventions based on systemic, behavioral and cognitive modalities of
  • Collaboratively develop individual and family service plans and goals which are behaviorally specific with the family.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Develop a transition plan with individuals/families to assist with termination and ensure linkage to ongoing support.
  • Willingness to utilize clinical supervision to promote independent decision-making and enhance system collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in related human services field
  • Clinical Licensure as a social worker or licensed professional counselor or possess an equivalent license from an accredited board
  • Knowledge, training and application of evidence-based treatment
  • Knowledge and application in the area of family systems and Trauma Informed Care
  • Minimum two years direct clinical experience, providing psychotherapy within a behavioral health setting
  • Must have been a licensed driver for at least three years.
    • Must pass an initial and ongoing motor vehicle record check evaluations.
    • Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License in the state of his/her residence.
  • If required to drive a personal vehicle for work purposes:
    • Employee must have access to a vehicle when needed
    • Vehicle(s) must be appropriately registered by the state
    • Must have and maintain automobile insurance
