Location: Mercer and Burlington County, NJ

Position Status: Full Time

Salary: $50,000 annually

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identifies and facilitates and oversees specific stakeholder and community outreach events to promote program services to the catchment area and to recruit program participants from the youth and young adult victim of crime population.
• Monitors ongoing outreach schedule.
• Identifies stakeholder service networks, and outreach opportunities and events to promote the program and recruit stakeholder outreach opportunities.
• Attends and presents on all Community Health Initiative programs at stakeholder meetings and community events where program needs.
• Makes appropriate referrals for crisis and non-crisis needs of individuals and families.
• Maintains appropriate paperwork including program documentation.
• Completes a level of service monthly that ensures program needs are met.
• Meets with AVP monthly for supervision and monthly for staff meetings.
• Builds and maintains relationships and collaborations with providers to promote the program and to provide supportive services.
• Promotes continuum of services facilitated through Community Health Initiative services.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field, commensurate experience in working with marginalized/victim populations.
• Three or more years of experience working with the program population.
• Utilizes a working knowledge in recognizing and evaluating suicidal or homicidal ideation in order to protect individuals and families served from self-harm or harming others.
• Demonstrates knowledge of surrounding community challenges and best practice research-oriented solutions and the ability to utilize this knowledge to affect changes in the lives of our children, adults and families served.
• Displays professional demeanor in all interactions with children, adults, and families served, as well as colleagues, and/or community members.
• Provides outstanding customer service in all Agency interactions.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, advanced knowledge of English and any other required languages (i.e. meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar).
• Strong intercultural competency awareness and skills required as well as commitment to expanding personal and collective knowledge and sensitivity.
• Must have been a licensed driver for at least three years.
  • Must pass an initial and ongoing motor vehicle record check evaluations.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License in the state of his/her residence.
  • If required to drive a personal vehicle for work purposes:
    • Employee must have access to a vehicle when needed
    • Vehicle(s) must be appropriately registered by the state
    • Must have and maintain automobile insurance
