Position Summary:

Assumes overall responsibility for the TRIAD House Program. Provides administrative responsibilities, program development, and participates in the management team of the agency. Provides supervision of direct care /resident counselors and day to day operations of facilities in residential counseling services, and may perform specialized activities and functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support and supervision of program staff, students and volunteers, including completing staff evaluations.
  • Conducts job interviews and assist with interview process for prospective employees and has direct input into hiring decisions.
  • Gives direct feedback to staff including verbal and written warnings as approved by the Associate Vice President. Also gives recommendations on discipline including terminations when approved by the CEO.
  • May provide direct counseling and other direct service activity, as back up to residential staff.
  •  Assures the continuing training and development of program staff.
  • Regularly schedules meetings with program staff to discuss plans, progress, and address areas of potential concerns and program functioning.
  • Coordinates program activities with appropriate liaison agencies to ensure constructive collaboration.
  • Develops and promotes relationships with other social service agencies and may represent the program and agency in the community.
  • Performs administrative functions including the completion of regular reports in a timely manner as required by funding sources and the Agency,
  •  May serve on Agency-wide committees.
  • Provides leadership to staff, and promotes a sense of agency with co-workers and staff, and communicates in ways that support agency mission and values.
  • Assists as necessary with shift coverage and youth supervision in emergency situations.
  •  Ensures Children's System of Care requirements are met and documented in CYBER.
  • Ensures Authorizations are up to date and billing is submitted bimonthly to the Awards team.
  • Reviews resident files and provides case management assistance to counseling staff. Makes recommendations regarding quality or procedures in treatment.
  • Assists with staff schedule ensuring appropriate 24-hour coverage.
  • Responsible for the necessary training to ensure competencies of program/volunteer staff.
  • Recruits, trains, matches, monitors, and oversees volunteer mentors using best practice training on topics relevant to target population.
  • Assists in design and implementation of counselor training and staff development plans.
  •  Assists in developing and maintaining positive relationships with other community agencies.
  • Assists in ensuring program compliance with all licensing and contractual standards.
  • Provides on-call supervision, assistance and instruction to deal with administrative, treatment, or scheduling emergencies.
  • Completes progress and incident reports, progress note, and statistical reports as required.
  • Directs or is responsible for maintenance including painting, replacing light bulbs and screens and / or contacting contractors for repairs, upgrades where indicated, to insure compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Performs periodic checks of shift compliance during off hours including night and weekends to ensure quality of care delivered and that Agency policies and procedures are followed.
  •  Is responsible for overall Licensing requirements and local fire and safety requirements and general professional appearance of building.
  •  Performs other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA in human services or equivalent in years of services.
  •  At least three years experience working with program population, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Program Administration experience
